2-Days Gorillas & Golden Monkey Trekking Safari

This short Rwanda primate safari is ideal for travellers with limited time who still want to experience Volcanoes National Park. The tour combines mountain gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking in one compact 2-day programme.

You travel privately from Kigali to Musanze in a 4×4 safari vehicle, with an experienced driver-guide supporting the full journey.

Itinerary

Your Izuba Tours driver-guide picks you up early in Kigali and drives north to Volcanoes National Park.

On arrival at the park headquarters in Kinigi, you join the briefing before starting the golden monkey trekking experience. The golden monkeys live mainly in the bamboo forest and are active, playful, and beautiful to watch.

After the trek, you continue to your lodge in Musanze for check-in and rest.

Overnight: Musanze / Volcanoes area
Meal plan: Bed & Breakfast

After an early breakfast, you return to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking registration and briefing.

You then enter the forest with the park guides to search for one of the gorilla families. Once found, you spend one special hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat.

After the trek, your driver-guide transfers you back to Kigali for hotel or airport drop-off.
