6 Days Visit Rwanda Wildlife Safaris and Cultural Experiences Vacation Tour
A private Rwanda journey combining the Volcanoes region, gorilla conservation stories, local culture and a relaxing Lake Kivu escape. Travel from Kigali to Musanze, continue to Rubavu, enjoy Lake Kivu by boat, and return to Kigali with time for local discovery.
The tour is private and includes transport in a 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced driver-guide.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Kigali
Arrival at Kigali International Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, relax at the hotel or enjoy a short introduction to Kigali.
Day 2 — Kigali to Musanze
After breakfast, visit key Kigali highlights before driving north to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. On the way, enjoy Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside views.
Day 3 — Gorilla Conservation & Volcanoes Area
Spend the day around the Volcanoes region. Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and learn more about gorilla conservation in Rwanda. Later, relax at your lodge.
Day 4 — Cultural Experience & Transfer to Lake Kivu
After breakfast, visit the Gorilla Guardians cultural village for an introduction to Rwandan traditions, dance and local history. Continue to Lake Kivu in Rubavu for an afternoon by the lake.
Day 5 — Lake Kivu Boat Cruise
Enjoy a relaxed morning on Lake Kivu. Take a boat cruise to explore the lake, nearby islands and birdlife. Optional evening experience: join the traditional night fishing activity on the lake.
Day 6 — Return to Kigali
After breakfast, drive back to Kigali. Depending on your flight time, stop for souvenir shopping or a short city visit before transfer to Kigali International Airport.

INCLUSIONS
Gorilla trekking permits are issued by the Rwanda Development Board and must be booked in advance. Availability is limited. Izuba handles all permit arrangements on your behalf.
Trekking with gorillas requires a minimum age of 15. Visitors showing signs of illness on the day of the trek may be declined access to protect the gorillas’ health.
